We are looking for a Compliance Manager that will manage compliance within Uplift and ensure compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be able to establish standards and help implement procedures to ensure that the compliance programs are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations. 


  • Play an integral role in enhancing Uplift's compliance management program, in accordance with the expectations of regulators, bank partners, investors, and business partners
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures in operations, product, lending and credit policy
  • Conduct frequent testing and monitoring, and work cross functionally to re-mediate issues
  • Manage internal and external audits and exams, as necessary
  • Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to ensure that Uplift's products adhere to required standards


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law or similar discipline; JD preferable
  • 5+ years consumer compliance, direct experience with consumer lending, preferable at a digital/online lender
  • Experience in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports, make presentations, speak and respond effectively to employees, members, vendors and the public
