We are looking for a Director of Corporate Marketing who is comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to combine a vision with a strong mind for operations, execution, metrics and growth. This role will be responsible for overseeing Uplift’s overall brand strategy, creative/design, messaging, positioning, strategic events, PR and other corporate marketing activities and programs. As a senior strategic marketing leader, you’ll hire and develop a small and talented team, while also partnering closely with key leaders at Uplift and top travel brand executives to create joint campaigns, content, collateral and presentations that effectively communicate Uplift’s value. This role is a highly visible leadership role within Uplift and will significantly impact Uplift’s growth. This opportunity is perfect for a marketing leader with proven consultative and corporate partnering skills.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy: Lead development and execution of Uplift’s B2B marketing plan in collaboration with our sales, product, and compliance teams with a focus on further accelerating sales
  • Brand Strategy: Lead the evolution of Uplift’s brand strategy, including messaging, positioning, voice and matching creative. Develop corporate narrative to the travel industry and major travel partners including speech writing for our events and executives
  • Partner Marketing: Build successful through-partner marketing campaigns with top-tier travel partners using a consultative approach
  • Content: Create compelling materials for travelers, investors and partners, with high attention to details for brilliant execution. Provide inspiration on a visual level; refine designs; lend a critical eye to all creative, structural, and technical output
  • Campaign Creation & Execution: Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns with travel partners to promote making the best memories of your life through travel. Set, measure, and report against goals. Manage master communications and campaign calendar including all delivery channels, events and social media outlets
  • Outreach: Identify and maximize opportunities including press, conferences, and social media. Serve as an Uplift spokesperson and build relationships with external stakeholders and partners
  • Field Marketing: Lead online and offline B2B marketing efforts, including supporting trade shows, sponsorships, channel and community partners
  • Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis
  • Budget and Team Management: Grow and manage a small marketing team. Allocate resources and budget to efficiently maximize business outcomes
  • Measure and Optimize: Be laser-focused on performance optimization based on business needs, goals, and outside trends. Run A/B tests and other experiments as part of ongoing optimization efforts. Continuously refine our marketing content and performance based on quantitative and qualitative insights

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience developing strategy and executing B2B Marketing
  • Preference for experience in marketing/technology travel industry
  • Preference for an individual with startup company experience
  • Preference for experience in consulting or ad agency
  • Demonstrated ability to create, implement, and execute B2B marketing strategies and campaigns, both direct to customers as well as through joint marketing agreements with strategic partners
  • Demonstrated excellence in strategy and execution. Define the larger picture, but also dive into the details to get things done
  • Experience in developing, executing, and measuring the impact of multi-channel brand advertising campaigns
  • Proven ability to design and execute large-scale corporate marketing initiatives, including corporate events
  • Deep expertise in brand strategy, management, positioning, and messaging
  • A portfolio of your work, ideally including examples of several types of campaigns and tactics
  • A proven track record for creating, deploying and measuring effectiveness of all marketing efforts and investments across a wide array of marketing channels
  • Creativity in developing actionable recommendations and marketing strategies
  • Excellent collaboration skills and organizational savvy, excelling at both high-level thinking & execution as well as influence and inspire others to achieve a common goal.
  • Ability to travel to networking events, trade shows, manage logistics and company branding for events 
  • Excited to wear many hats and take ownership of multiple projects for different parts of the business
  • Ability to effectively influence both internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with creative and brand agencies, budgets, and negotiating contracts
  • BS/BA degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA highly preferred)
  • Proven sense of brand and editorial voice; the ability to harmonize message across multiple brand assets and communication vehicles
  • Demonstrated leadership, strong personal presence, demonstrates initiative, is results-oriented, and acts with a sense of urgency
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - able to establish strategic direction and implement effectively in a global, matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated curiosity, passion for learning, and adaptability
