As a Fraud Analyst, you will be responsible for mining data sets to identify new fraud trends and developing and tracking key performance fraud indictors to assess fraud rates and fraud prevention success. Your efforts will aid in strengthening Uplift’s fraud prevention system and help inform key stakeholders current fraud rates. You will be on the forefront of driving the automation of fraud detection and reporting. You will also work with internal teams and external partners to analytically support fraud investigations aimed to minimize fraud losses.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain dashboards for tracking key fraud performance indicators and fraud alerts
  • Mind customer behavior data and develop flagging conditions to alert when a consumer displays high fraud-risk traits
  • Independently analyze loan performance anomalies to identify new fraud pathways
  • Update fraud policy documents as new fraud pathways are discovered and blocking strategies created
  • Aid fraud investigators by providing analytical support
  • Assess third party tools and data that can potentially supplement Uplift’s fraud prevention system

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field from an accredited college or university
  • Proficiency in python and familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks
  • Understanding of statistical distributions, confidence intervals, and probability
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Self-motivator with ability to work independently
  • 1-2 year’s experience in analyzing fraud trends, fraud detection and prevention is a plus
